I play on PC and PS4 more than Switch, so my brain naturally thinks of "A" as the lower button (where A is on Xbox). It's really up to you, I'm not sure if there is a right or wrong way. Or you can map based on the position, if you'd rather have the position match (so A is mapped to B on the Xbox controller for example). You can map in CEMU the A to the literal A on the Xbox, so that when you play and you see the "Press A button" you press the literal A on the Xbox controller. Xbox is the other way (A is bottom, B is left). "A" is the left side face button, and "B" is the buttom one, if you think of the diamond layout. Nintendo swaps the position of X and Y, and also of A and B on their controllers, (always have been doing this).
